And it's the official moving day. I've been going crazy packing and purging and packing and thinking of paint colours and what we should renovate first.
The Peanut is shipped to my mom's each day so that I can get stuff done and by the end of the day I miss her soooo much. I guess this is a great prep for when I go back to work in the fall.
I've also been able to catch up on some of favorite blogs and have been noticing a theme with many of them. "Why do I blog?" seems to be the main thread in the blog world this week.
I'm still trying to figure it out and am sure that many of you are too.
What I do know is that you have to want to do it and love to write and share, because it takes some effort and you need to carve out a little time to be able to do it.
I also figure that growing I had a journal and this is an extension of that, only no one was allowed to read my journal, but the blog is different. Although having a lot of readers isn't part of my end game to be frank, I'm happy that there are some people who read my blog and comment and I wouldn't mind having more people reading and offering advice, etc.
I love that there are strong and inspiring women out there who are sharing their good, bad and meahh days and writing about their hopes and fears, because they inspire me and help me to realize that no matter what, we are all growing through the same things. Even through we are from different places and have different situations, we are pretty much all in the same boat. If you aren't going through it now, you probably will sooner or later.

Sophie and the Teething Peanut
The Peanut has teeth!! Gaaaaaaa

She had been teething for the last month or so and we even got her a Sophie Giraffe toy - which was a God send, she loves loves loves it.

Yesterday as she refused the rest of her morning cereal and screamed bloody murder to get out of her high chair I saw something white on her bottom gums. Low and behold, there are two teeth just starting to poke through.
Duh, that explains why she was cranky pretty much every evening since Sunday. We thought she was just tired and needed to have her bed time moved a little earlier.
I felt her little gums and one tooth has already cut through and seems really sharp, which got me thinking about the boob factor. I am soooo scared that she's going to bite me. I can imagine what that one will feel like. She bit me a couple of times already with out teeth and let me tell you not a fun feeling! I yelped and scared the living crap out of the Peanut. Hopefully if and when she does chomp down, I don't scream like a mad woman and traumatize her. She is a jumpy little one.
The Peanut is also starting to crawl and jump at things she wants. She's talkative in her little Peanut language and loves to say "meemeemee" in different pitches almost like she's singing. It's so cute and her little chuckles and full on belly laugh is the most amazing thing to hear. She has different sounds for things like when she wants boob or a bottle, she screams out "gaaaa". If she wants out of the car seat or her high chair that sound is "daidai". I think she's going to be a crazy talker!
The Peanut is also starting to content herself with toys, her fingers and legs for longer periods of time, and doesn't need me to be in front of her all the time. Oh and she sucks her toes! It's kind of weird, but really funny at the same time.
Well I've got to run, still have a gazillion boxes to pack, moving day is fast approaching and I'm not even remotely ready.

The Great White North

Happy Canada Day Everyone!
Up here in the Great White North (not so white right now, but lush and green), we are celebrating our country's Birthday. 141 years, not too old really.
July 1st marks the joining of the of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and the Province of Canada (which was divided into Ontario and Quebec)in 1867.
Hope everyone is enjoying the day and taking advantage of the great weather out there!
